The Quin-T Democrat Club held its annual Fall Dinner on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Grant Career Center in Bethel, Ohio. The dinner committee, Leann Helton, Gerry Myer and Andrea Back did a fanastic job taking care of all the details. Lots of fun door prizes. Aftab Pureval, Hamilton County Clerk of Cours was the keynote speaker and really energized the guests. Dr. Janet Everhard spoke about her challenge against the current congressman in Ohio District 2. The Grant Career Center students did a fabulous job preparing the meal and serving. A wonderful gathering of friends, colleagues and like-minded activists.

We are now 169 days into this presidency and it ain't pretty.
"He who shall not be named" also known as 45 has plunged our country into chaos and division. He and his family have put a face to nepotism, narcissism and blatant unethical self-enrichment. Although seventeen of our intelligence agencies have confirmed Russian interference in the 2016 election 45 refuses to believe them or do anything to protect the integrity of our election system. In fact, yesterday he met with Vladimir Putin at the G-20, supposedly for the first time, for over two hours instead of thirty minutes. There were only three Americans in the room: 45, Rex Tillerson and a translator along with Putin, Lavrov and their translator. So it is unlikely we will ever know the truth of what was discussed or promised.
45 lies so much that the New York Times has documented all the daily lies from January 21st to June 21st and the list is astounding. And that is just the 45's lies. That doesn't include the lies that come out of the mouth of every member of his cabinet and press corp. Speaking of the press, he has been deligitimizing the press regularly from his campaign to now. He has instilled hate and fear in the Republican base while the GOP meekly step aside in hopes that they can get their destructive polices enacted into law. The list goes on and on and it is depressing.
But there is hope.
An energy has risen on the left and is growing stronger. We are not going away. The Women's March, Science March and protests across the country and the world. Protests at senator's and representative's offices against the repeal of the ACA. Phone calls, emails, faxes, Twitter storms, Facebook comments, postcard and letter campaigns organized through social media. Social media groups based on the Indivisible Guide number in the hundreds if not thousands across the United States. And many of the groups have conservative members as well.
So there is hope. In the weeks and months to come we will be sharing as much information as we can to guide you on how to stand up against the destruction of our democracy. Stay tuned
United we stand.

I was born a Democrat. I was raised to be a Democrat. For many years it didn't mean that much to me. But now, the way that people have been treated by many members of the Republican Party, is not acceptable, and I have had enough.
it is time that Democrats stand up for what we believe.
Many people laugh at Donald Trump, but believe me many people do not. The idea that this "nut” could very well become our next president is of great concern for us normal folk. If you take a look at what the GOP has to offer, it is a strange collection of stranger ideas. Would any of these wing nuts be your first choice for president of the United States?
The strangest part of this, is that we have very few Democrats that hold elected positions here in Clermont County, why? Do we not care anymore what happens in Clermont County, everything Republicans do is perfectly okay with us? Right? Apparently that's how Democrats think in this day and age.
As strange and distant as the national presidential campaign may seem, the real issues that affect us every day are being decided by the Republicans holding office in Clermont County. These day to day issues affect us much more than the national campaigns. However, everyone in Clermont County seems to think that there are no Democrat candidates worth electing for any position.
This needs to change. Get involved now, stand up and speak your mind, vote your conscience. The system was not set up for one party to rule, the system was set up to government people, not to play favorites for big business and their political partners.
